The Enchantment of Elisha Gray
Who was Elisha Gray?
You may remember from your elementary school history lessons, Elisha Gray was a visionary inventor and Alexander Graham Bell's rival. Both men had designs for the telephone. But in truth, only one design actually worked - and it was Elisha Gray's design. Mystery and controversy surround the final decision to award the patent to Bell.
The Enchantment of Elisha Gray presents an alternate account of the historical events that remain controversial to this day . . .
On Valentine's Day in 1876, two rivals battled for one of the most valuable patents ever issued, the telephone. Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell both submitted designs but in truth, only one design actually worked. A clandestine meeting between Bell and the patent officer who illegally shared Gray’s design, sealed Bell’s fate as the true inventor of the telephone.
But the fatal seduction of the Elisha Gray was lost to history - until now. The dark witch who killed Elisha, cast a generational curse on both families. The curse has come due. Ending it means Zara Morgan, the last surviving Bell must stop it - and with the clock ticking, she's running out of options.

Short Story collection
The Last Words of Ordinary Things
Have you ever inherited the belongings of someone close to you who has passed?
When my dad died, I held his watch in my hand and the weight of it, the forlorn state it was in, made me stop and listen. There was a story there of my father, told from another point of view - not mine or my family's.
This collection of short stories uses the point of view of an inanimate object, the leave behinds, to tell a story of the person's life.
If you are intrigued, read this excerpt and let me know what you think!
Excerpt:
"Finally, I heard his voice coming from the living room and the house felt warm again. He showered and placed me on his wrist, signaling his life would commence. He slept a long while, the effects of the medication luring him into complete numbness. When he awoke, his pulse slightly quickened. He was happy to be home, happy to get back in his kitchen.
But he would never again return to his joyful cooking. Instead, in the dark of his bedroom in the nearing hours of dawn, his heart erupted with fierce staccato beats. He tried to call out, but the air in his lungs denied him. He took one last, burdensome breath raising his hand to his chest. I felt the slow, frail movement of his wrist, then his barrel-like hand fell to rest on his heart and remained still."
